It’s 100 degrees here. 3 deer feeding in that bottom & by the tree line on Hatcher Rd just now 2:25 pm in this heat. Ran into 4 pigs yesterday aftn when loading cart up mid aftn too. Also, 2 deer feeding along 96 just past 247 in aftn last Sunday about 2pm. Strange... What's going on with this?

I'll tell you what is strange! I have hogs coming to the pig pipe during the day! I have them on the game camera in the morning and evening and I kick myself for not being there when they come in during broad daylight. I would not need a light to take them either time, morning or evening.

Shot a sow at 10:30 this morning.

Was driving to town and saw her in a pasture, about 75yds from the road.

Went past, turned around and dug out my truck gun. A rack-grade DPMS with 55gr FMJs. It lives on top of the back seat in a soft case. I haven't shot it in a year or two. The batteries in the EOtech were dead, used the military peep sight that works fine...right throught the mounted red dot.

Took three shots.

She was already wounded and was nothing but skin and bones.

I just put her out of misery.

Also saw three does today, late in the afternoon, in different places. Even the GF thought it was odd.

You're doing some hog killing, lol. Keep up the good work! It's been slow in my neck of the woods, but recently, a good one moved in - my camera tore up so I don't have pics, but his track measured 2.5" across and he sinks down deep in the soft ground - hunted him a couple of nights but nothing, so far. Moved one of my other cameras to this location so hopefully I will have some pics when I get back. I'm guessing from size of track he's about 250 but who knows.
