Last November I purchased a Flir-One. This is a gadget you slip your I-phone 5 into to make it a thermal imager. The thing works better than I could have imagined!. When I look at the vaulted ceiling in the house, I can see the colder joists where they are in contact with the sheet rock of the ceiling. Outdoors, during new moon and heavy cloud cover, I can see deer and pigs more than 100 yards with ease. This thing is great for scouting and recovery of animals. Not sure how well it will work in the hot summer months though.

Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity?

You cannot adjust the sensitivity. You re-calibrate it by sliding a button every now and then. You can also choose if you want the view in gray scale or full color. You can record pictures or video of the displayed image. The sensitivity seems good. If I place my hand on the wall for a few seconds, you can see the hand print fade away over a couple of minutes as the wall cools off.

I was selling some stuff yesterday at a "Fishing Garage Sale" one of the local tackle stores had. Found an almost new FLIR i7 still in the box and picked it up for $200 thinking that it might be of some use. I know it's not anything normally used for hunting but charged it up and last night walked around in the yard to see what it would do.
Darn thing is very sensitive and picked up rabbits in the woods out back with no problem. Going to see if i can modify it (if I keep it) for some added magnification. If not I'll sell the thing and add the profits to my Zeus 640 cookie jar!

Now that App sounds like a Carpenter's or Homeowner's Dream as a STUD FINDER. Behind sheetrock, how often do you want to put up a shelf, mount a picture, find a stud?
