Property adjoins my sons 20 acres with a 5 acre pond. We are surrounded by farm land and pasture on the S, E & W. To the North is a creek bottom leading to the property but not touching. The hogs that come thru are coming nightly between midnite to 6 AM. It appears the hogs are circling thru the pastures & farms and coming thru our property as they head back into the creek area. I’ve not had any success baiting them in earlier than midnite. I’m thinking I should cut my open areas and spread corn on their travel areas. This is totally different than the hogs I’ve killed on timber co land. Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.

Sounds like your land is just on their travel route to and from their food source and bedding area. A feeder anywhere on their travel route will slow them down long enough to get a shot. A camera at the location will tell you when to sit there.

There’s a few bears around & they tear up feeders, spread corn today thinking they’ll find it tonight.

Not any bears where I hunt. Good luck on your hunt!

Thank you both! The corn holes when 2' deep or deeper keeps them eating awhile. A guy behind me is trapping hogs and I think these are trap shy.
