Hi Ronnie,

I'm still alive. Haven't caught the virus yet; but, I've had some work done on this old body. :) Waiting for the weather to cool off and deer season to end to get back after the hogs. I have 2 new projects going. My younger son, lives local, picked up a DPMS Orical flat top with a 1-in-10 twist 16" barrel. Besides helping on accessories, I'll be reloading for it. I'm thinking 150 gr Nosler Partition bullets to get the velocity up and looking at CFE223 and Varget for powders to try. ( CFE223 is listed as just a bit faster burning powder so it might work better in the 16"tube for velocity.)

I found a relatively young scope company and am talking with them on their specs. I bought one to run on my 30-30; but, haven't mounted it yet to take to the range. I'll post more on that as it hopefully developes.

Glad to hear you are well! We have grandbabies tonight 1st time since this virus started. Deer season starts here Oct 17, I’m cutting a trail away from my stand to dig bait holes for hogs, hope to take hogs and chain them down for coyote. Since my gun likes the ELD-X Ammo & it goes thru hogs taking 2 lined up is working out well. For deer I’ll need a well placed high shoulder shot too.

Keep us posted on the progress with the gun and kiss for it, as well as the scope.
